Translation note: The intransitive past tense of this verb in 29.3 presents a problem.
I've chosen to use the passive meaning 'be situated' that Lambdin lists as one possible meaning
for the verb when used intransitively. As it happens, this comes out to much the same as the
meaning of the qualitative form of the verb ('be put, placed, situated'). (MWG)
